Last week I decided to take the afternoon to make a few treats for our pups.
First up...Puppy Popsicles
Light Yogurt and canned Pumpkin is all you need for this one.
While you can either use the empty yogurt containers or tupperware, I also opted to buy Popsicle molds. The molds have actually proven to be the best at not only easy deliver of the treat to the pups, but for also preventing freezer-burn.
Up next....Chicken and Cheddar Biscuits

He he he....They are so cute and make me smile every day!

Zooey LOVES them! :)
Up next....Chicken and Cheddar Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 c wheat flour
- 1 c shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 c + 1 Tbsp low sodium chicken broth*
- 1/4 c vegetable oil
- Fresh parsley (optional - supposed to be good for their breath and adds some pretty color!)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine all ingredients in small bowl. Mix until ingredients combined. Add additional Tablespoons of broth if dough is too dry. Flour work surface. Roll dough to 1/2″ thickness. Cut into desired shape (I used 1.5" stars for Fourth of July).
- Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes (depending upon size). You want them firm but still a little chewy when you take them out of the oven. Cool and store in airtight container.
I used the end of a paring knife to make the 4-hole design.
And what else is there to do after this but have a photo shoot with said treats and curious little pups.
He he he....They are so cute and make me smile every day!
