We made it to the top in an hour, having to take only a few pit stops along the way. The view was spectacular from the mouth of the caves. But the sites inside the cave were even more breathtaking. Hope you enjoy....
On the way down Mount Timpanogos it started sprinkling on us, but it didn't last long. We were all smiles by the time we got to the bottom....and obviously very tired and sore. We then drove out to a beautiful lake up in the mountains. I'm sure the water was freezing!
The afternoon was spent ensuring the rest of my family made it in. One of my cousin and her boyfriend flew into Salt Lake while my aunt and uncle and the rest of their family drove from Nebraska. Everyone arrived around 3:30pm and settled in to the house.
The whole clan spent the evening at Justin's parent's house where friends and family gathered for dinner. I met a few new faces and had a great time sharing laugh with everyone. It was once again a long day and we were very happy to head to bed late in the night.
Stay tuned for Day 3....Open House. :)

Isn't the path up to Timp cave beautiful? I love how every switchback has a new view and the vista becomes grander. You got some great photos of Justin in the cave, too. And anything I said about how you still look like a fairy tale princess fresh from your wedding ceremony would be too little. Justin has a lovely bride!
Look at that lake! The water is so green, it seems vibrant with the magic of life. What a beautiful accompaniment to the muted beauty of the cave.
It is so great that you got to cram every minute with adventure, family, and fun.
Thank you for continuing your story!
