On Saturday my little brother got married. I still can't believe how fast he has grown up. It seems like only yesterday he was running around in his little He-man underwear trying to destroy the world. :D But I could not ask for a better new sister-in-law than Niki. They are a perfect picture of true love!
The festivities started on Friday afternoon. The girls (bridesmaids, moms and female cousins) all went out for lunch. It was followed by manicures and pedicures. It was my mother's first time getting these....needless to say she thoroughly enjoyed herself as did her nail tech. Every time I looked across the room, she was laughing at something. We then picked up our dresses and headed back to the hotel to start getting ready for rehearsal. Rehearsal went very smoothly and the dinner catered by Grisantes was amazing. Before we knew it the night was up and it was time to turn in to get ready for Saturday.
Saturday morning started out with a 9am hair appointment. Niki had her hairstylist from Lincoln come in and she did such a beautiful job on everyone's hair. By 11:30 we were off to the church to start pictures.

Niki looked absolutely beautiful and was all smiles the entire day. The ceremony went well, except for the maid of honor (Niki's sister) saying the wrong names during the prayer. It got a huge laugh and we will forever wonder who "John and Emily" were! ;)

After the ceremony, it was party time. The next 2 1/2 hours were spent on a very fun limo bus. We did make a couple pit stops along the way to take pictures and stock up on refreshments. We finally made it to the DC Center for the reception, where family and friends waited to congratulate the couple. The food was great, the slideshow was a tear jerker and then it was time to dance!

The happy couple during their first dance.

Nick & Nessa during the dollar dance.....so cute!!!

Mom & Nick during the "Mother-Son" dance. My mom looks so amazing!

And the kicker of them all.....Yes....that is Niki rolling around on the dirty floor in her beautiful dress! Thank goodness for dry cleaners! :D

And here we are. Just think....in a year, that will be us! :D The weekend went by so fast. While the weather wasn't the best, it was still a blast. The happy couple is spending a week in Mexico until it's back to the real world. Congratulations Nick & Niki....I love you both!
